This year, more than 6000 fans were let inside the quiet confines of Lucas Oil Stadium to bear witness to the NFL Scouting Combine. Hearing audio coverage from NFL Network, fans inside were also treated to an exclusive show by Marshall Faulk. While sitting in the bowl, it is so silent that you can hear the coaches barking orders and the players grunting and giving everything they have. The value of our radios to the fans in attendance cannot be overstated, as it is their only link to what is happening down on the field!
NRG Stadium – Houston, TX
What a game! Lucky fans who attended this instant classic could purchase our radios to hear the live call! Fans were treated to Joe Buck & Troy Aikman and the FOX TV call, Kevin Harlan & Boomer Esiason on the Westwood One national radio call, or Ricardo Celis & Tony Nunez on the Entravision national Spanish radio call. The NFL also supplied our radios to all of the media, select VIPs and suite attendees.
George R Brown Convention Center – Houston, TX
Each year, nearly everyone in the sports media converges in one place, radio row. There are sets for all of the major TV and radio networks. None stands out more than what SiriusXM puts together. This year, SXM had 6 simultaneous sets all broadcasting live. Fans who were there to check out all the action were given a radio and the option to choose between any of the 6 sets!
Minute Maid Park – Houston, TX
The NFL brings the circus that is Opening Night to the ballpark in Houston! Fans who attended were greeted with a goody bag that contained all sorts of fun stuff, including one of our radios. Running the span of the outfield was a giant stage and video board. With the video feeds up on the screen, the only way fans could hear the associated audio was with our help! Rotating podiums of player audio, along with the NFL Network and special in-arena host Scott Hanson, fans always had something listen to.
Amalie Arena – Tampa Bay, FL
As the CFP National Championship game grows in size and scale, so does its preceding Media Day. Upgrading to a full size arena, the fans did not disappoint. Showing up in droves, they were all given an earpiece to hear all of the action from both Alabama and Clemson in preparation of their rematch! Getting to choose between 7 different coaches and players and also the ESPN live broadcast, fans didn’t miss a beat!
Mercedez-Benz Superhome – New Orleans, LA
Heisman finalists Baker Mayfield and Dede Westbrook cruised into the Crescent City to face off against a dynamic Gus Malzhan led Auburn offense. Guests of Allstate were treated to radios that allowed them to hear the ESPN Radio broadcast throughout the game.
Santa Anita Park – Arcadia, CA
Back at the Breeder’s Cup, Live Sports Radio teamed up with Mike Penna, Jude Feld, and the rest of the HRRN Radio crew to bring you all the action from horse racing’s richest event! Throughout the races on Friday and Saturday, listeners were treated to the live coverage from HRRN and also from the HRRN Spanish official broadcast.
Walter E Washington Convention Center – Washington, DC
A perfect use of our technology, TCT manages to not only implement our supplemental audio, but they add their own. TCT Radio is an exclusive talk show that goes out live to listeners throughout the convention center. The main element of the radio units takes advantage of the spectacular screen. The screen shows multiple simultaneous video feeds, and the attendees use our units to switch between the various accompanying audio feeds.
Hazeltine Golf Club – Chaska, MN
Live Sports Radio was honored to provide our service at one of the greatest competitive events on the planet. Nestled in metro Minneapolis, Hazeltine provided the backdrop that led to an American victory! So much different than most golf tournaments, the Ryder Cup institutes the match play format. This format puts an emphasis on the importance of each hole. Using our radios, fans were able to follow all of the action. Whether they were posted up at a scoreboard, or trying to follow a certain group, they were able to stay tuned to what was happening all over the grounds.
